Eroge –> PS2化

There have been many PS2 version of popular eroge titles recently, like this D.C.II Plus Situation in the above picture which has brought to much of my attention. I can’t help to disagree with this kind of conversion!

The Bad

First of all, PS2 is a device for family entertainment (but theres Wii), therefore there won’t be any explicit scenes in the PS2 version, except for some panchira and boob grabbings. So who are the targeted audience? For those under 18 who cant get their hands on the PC version? Should kids really play this kind of dating simulation games? Without the H scenes, it just feels like something is missing. But of course I’m not a hentai, story plot plays a big part too. I doubt the story in PS2 version will lose to the original story.

For those who can’t get their paws on the PS2 version like me, we won’t be able to get the special bonuses that the PC version do not have. For example new characters. Some will go “ZOMG I WANNA TRY OUT THAT NEW ROUTE”. Side characters will also get their individual routes (oooo Akane~).

The Good(?)

Basically it is all about seiyuu fanboyism. The seiyuus from the anime will be casted instead of the original cast. We will always see big names in the PS2 versions, like Kugimiya/Tanaka Rie and Itou Shizuka. Although one or two of the original cast will remain, with a different name but i can still identify easily.

Like I previously stated, new character routes and CGs. But i can’t compare the CGs as I have not played any on PS2 before.
